These are talented artists, curators and directors in my art world.
I met Suad Bejtović, a photographer, and his wife during the recent Visual Arts Guild of Frisco exhibition at Discovery Center in Frisco, Texas. The photo you see here was shot while lying down inside a cave with the camera pointed upward. After he told me that, I thought, from now on, I’ll likely look at photo art entirely differently. Ty Bishop is an oil painter, who merges former American aestheticism with influences from Hudson River School and Abstract Expressionism. I learned that, frequently, color and gesture may serve to negotiate a viewer’s perceptions. Some of Ty’s works are hung at Robert‐Lawrence Designs. [SEP 2019]
